Today our 2010 GMC Yukon, we'll be installing the Pollak Backup Alarm, part number PK41820. To begin our install, we'll first open up the rear hatch. Next, we'll remove the fasteners securing the rear taillight assembly here on the driver's side, then we'll pop the taillight assembly out of it's position. Now the rear taillight assembly will need to connect to the reverse lights. It will be the bottom socket of the three. The green wire will connect to the reverse light circuit. more

Pollak Light to Medium Duty Back Up Alarm Installation - 2007 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2007 Dodge Durango we're going to be installing the Pollak light duty to medium duty backup alarm with wire leads, with a 97 decibel single sound level, part number PK41820. We're going to begin here first by raising the rear hatch of the vehicle. We're then going to need to remove the taillight assembly. We're going to choose to take it out of the driver side and we'll be tying in with the reverse light wire over here on the driver side taillight assembly. Now to remove the taillight assembly there's two push fasteners that we'll need to take out. To remove the push fastener simply take a flat head screwdriver or a trim panel removal tool. You'll need to pull the center of the fastener outward and slide in underneath to pull the remaining portion out. more

Custer Surface Mount Back-up Alarm Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup we'll be installing the Custer Electronics Surface Mount Back-up Alarm. Part number BK97DB. Our back-up alarm will mount on the passenger side, underneath the tail light assembly. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and attach our power and ground wire to the back-up alarm up. To do this, we'll take a piece of wire, strip back both ends and end ring terminal to each side. This application, we use the white wires are ground and brown wire is our power. We'll go ahead and put it on the studs at the back-up alarm and then secure with a knot supply with the back-up alarm. Now with our wire secures to the back-up alarm, we'll go ahead and mount the back-up alarm underneath the pickup bed. Note we'll be using the self-tapping screws to secure the back-up alarm and we'll locate an area where the sheet metal doubles up for a more secure mounting location. Now with our alarm mounted, we'll go ahead and route the wire up behind the passenger side tail assembly following the manufacturer's wiring. Next, we'll go ahead and open the tail gate, remove the 2 fasteners and secure the tail light assembly and pop it free from its mounting location. Note, be careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath the tail light assembly. Next, we'll go ahead and pull the wiring through the excess hole and take the white wire and a ring terminal. more
